My wife and I live in Baltimore County in Maryland and we want to have two chickens. We have been searching the maryland and baltimore county government websites to see if there are any regulations but have had no luck. Does anyone know or have any idea where we could find some info?

Thanks a bunch!!

I follow this rule - if you don't know the rule and can't find the rule, there may not be a rule. LOL

But seriously -

Code of Baltimore County MD

BALTIMORE COUNTY ZONING REGULATIONS 1998 Edition Updated 08-25-2007, v18.2
THE REGULATIONS
ARTICLE 1, GENERAL PROVISIONS
Section 100, Zones and Districts; Boundaries [BCZR 1955]

Fowl or Poultry:

Chickens, ducks, turkeys,No numerical limit,
geese provided that a nuisance
is not created or allowed
to exist on the property
*Sucklings and weanlings under 12 months of age will not be counted. EN

I hope this helps.

It seems so crazy that it seems like you need an acre of property for chickens yet no limitation within baltimore city!!

I live in baltimore county two and raise about 30 something chickens if you need any roosters i'll hook you up have about 8 roosters write back

We we are going to challenge to code! Fight the Man! We are going get a hearing with the zoning board board to see about an execption. Will try to keep you posted. Any advice is welcome!!

Yes it does, it looks weird on the page but it does and we got confirmation talking to someone from zone enforcement.
