Plastic without insulation doesn't hold heat as well as the others. I have plastic. But that's where the thermostat comes in, it controls the heat as needed.

We r talking homemade right?
Maybe strofoam or tinfoil will help better for the cracks or edges in the wood. Or the op could caulk the outside edges.. Anything might help. We know temperature is paramount for hatching

Yea mine is plastic but has styrofoam on the inside plus i use 2 different thermostats n hydrometers that read accordingly n my hatch was good

Mines uninsulated and in a chilly room, I wrap it with a scarf and place it on a towel. Does the trick.

Literally just try anything to get it back up...no draftly areas
High heat is MUCH more deadly than low heat but low heat can be detrimental as well. How long has the temp been so low? Is it climbing?

My understanding is that temps have been low throughout. So expect a delayed hatch. I think you need to candle to see where they are at. What humidity have you been running, and have you increased it now?

Hello!!! PLEASE help! I moved my eggs to the lockdown rack in my incubator, but it's much colder down there! It's only 90 Degrees (Fahrenheit)!!! Is this ok? Will they die?? I'm trying to warm it up! PLEASE HELP!
