I have had thermometers spike right in front of me and it wasn't that the bator was hotter, just the thermometer went wacko. AND the max temp read 112 degrees then immediately went back to 99.7 or so. If we had not been standing there, we would have thought they were done for! Don't throw them out. I'd let them go a while then candle them.

who says it's over?? haven't you read all the posts??

some say it is over,, some say it might have been the thermometer malfunctioning ..

I am guessing you know more than you told us..

this might be another disapointment too,, but what the heck,,,,,,,we will try again, right??

I lost a full bator of 126 eggs last year..storm, power outage. chickens..

then I lost over 130 eggs in another bator.. 50 goose and the rest guinea and turkey.. another power outage.. an underground 220V cable blew out.. between the main breaker box and the shop.

besides the eggs, that cost me $500.oo to fix..

but we never give up,,OK?

OK,I might just buy live chicks from the feed store for now scince it is sooooooooooo late in the season.

They won't be anything fancy though, especially compared to my grand champ Sultans, and silkies!

I know how you feel. I am going to sale this lg an buy a different kind one that you don't have to baby sit.... Yes I think I have the fever about this bator thing. (kind of cool) When I wrote about not being able to regulate the temp.. Some person wrote that after using the LG you will know all the ends and out about hatching eggs. You know I think they were right. So hang in their!!!!!
