i usually use my large cabinet incubator but i am using a friends hova-bator that is styrofoam because i wanted to set some more eggs in mycabinet bator well anyway i got the temp set and put the eggs that were in the cabinet one into this one to hatch and i came in to see if any eggs were pipped and the temp had soared to 110 degrees could this have killed the chicks inside it will be day 21 tommorow i took the top off to let it cool down is this bad please help SOON

If hatch day is tomorrow top should be put back on immediately to insure some humidity if the temps have lowered. As far as the temp increase only time will tell, sometimes they will truly surprise you. How long did it stay at that temp will likely be the biggest factor.

i dont know how long but i moved them to it around 12 and it was at normal temp and noticed it was way up around 7 pm. i feel so stupid for doing that though i freaked out so much and reacted so quick i completly forgot about the humidity and now the temp is screwed up and is around 91 i keep checking and it is slowly rising i don't see how they will make it after going from 110 then quickly to 90

yeah thats what i am hoping i candled them at day 15 which i do with any eggs i incubate that way i don't open the door as much after day 18 and they had good development then so hopefully it won't bother them i'll keep you posted and put some pics on here if they do hatch
