Oh thank you! That makes so much sense. As one clear egg that I was going to toss out cracked on a few eggs. The one that hatched, if I remember correctly never got egged.

This is heartbreaking, but I tripped over a cord dumping over 10 shipped eggs in a small Brinsea setting on a table on day 11 of incubation, and having to clean up several splatters with tiny eye balls in them. I felt terrible. Luckily, I had placed 4 eggs under a broody, so I ended up with a couple of pullets in the end. I learned from then on to keep it on the floor from then on.

Wow that's terrible. Atleast I did learn before I ordered expensive eggs and they spilled. The bator will now be on the floor.
