Help - injured duck!

I've been calling all day. We are leaving now for a wildlife rehab centre. I live in Dieppe New Brunswick (Canada). I have figured it is a sea duck

I filled the tub this morning to see if he could move his legs and he could, which I was relieved.

We dropped it off at the Atlantic Wildlife Institute. No broken wings or legs, it was superficial scratches (probably cuz he was trying to take flight but could't).

They were migraiting from Bay of Fundy to the Northumberland Straight. He was imaciated so probably too weak to make the flight. Another one was reported a few mikes away from this one and they are awaiting it's arrival.

The owner explained that because they are a sea duck, they can't walk too far.... and explained other things if ever I come across another situation like that.

He was very helpful and although he couldn't promise a recovery, I felt he was in safe hands.

Hope he recovers.

Here you go... taken with my iPad as my phone is playing music for it. I removed the water... only a damp / wet towel with it now in the tub. Still very calm.
