We dropped it off at the Atlantic Wildlife Institute. No broken wings or legs, it was superficial scratches (probably cuz he was trying to take flight but could't).
They were migraiting from Bay of Fundy to the Northumberland Straight. He was imaciated so probably too weak to make the flight. Another one was reported a few mikes away from this one and they are awaiting it's arrival.
The owner explained that because they are a sea duck, they can't walk too far.... and explained other things if ever I come across another situation like that.
He was very helpful and although he couldn't promise a recovery, I felt he was in safe hands.
