The membrane looks fine to me. Just give him more time.Thankyou. Yes the other egg pipped yesterday at 4 and looks quite dry inside im not sure if its.stuck hasn't made any progress at all. What do you think?
Not sure how many hours it's been since he pipped but I'd give him 36 hours after pipping before you start to assist. How much longer would you think is ok to wait? It is moving its bill but it seems it cant move around its bill is sticking out it did pip right in the middle of the big end of the egg instead of the side of the egg wasnt sure if its in wrong or just slow. Thankyou so much for replying.![]()
If you feel like you need to remove the other duckling you could, but he can go a day or two without eating or drinking after hatching. Do you have your brooder setup already?Thankyou so much every now and again hes making chewing motions but very rare compared to what he was. Im also wondering if i should take the duckling out of the incubator he is disturbing the egg quite alot but not sure if that is a good thing or not? He hatched at least 13 hours ago now and is trying to drink the condensation on the incubator would he maybe need a drink? Thankyou soo much for all your help and im soo sorry for all the questions im scared to do anything wrong
You can give him food and water. While you wait for the other duckling to hatch you can give him a stuffed animal to snuggle with or a mirror that won't tip over so he's less lonely.Yes i have the brooder set up and temp at 35c if i was to put him into brooder should i put water or food into it aswell ir not yet?
