Chirping
I just got 4 turkeys from TSC. They are in a 3x6 foot brooder (Just the 4 of them, no one else), 3 feet tall, hardware cloth top, with a red heat lamp. The temp at the heated end is 90 temp at the food/water end is 74. They seem active and happy (I've only had them about an hour) but when checking them out I noticed one of them has pasty butt. But I've never seen pasty but like this? It looks very swollen and protruding and what you see in the pics is after 15 minutes of soaking it and very gently trying to remove it. It will NOT come off all the way. I put non pain relief triple antibiotic on it and put him back with the other 3 in the hopes that the ointment will loosen it up? I don't know how to help him and I don't want to lose him. What do I do? I know the pictures aren't great, hard to hold a poult and take pics one handed).
