Hello all,

I brought 6 Salmon Faverolle eggs to put under my broody hen and unfortunately only one egg hatched. My hens are suddenly starting to dominate and peck at this youngster. I have attached a picture for some of the more experienced chicken keepers to have a look and see if he/she is a Rooster. If it is a Rooster do I need to separate him from the hens?
Thanks for reading

It's a cockerel. Unless they are drawing blood and seriously injuring him, leave him with the flock. They will educate him on how to deal with women. That is if there really is a way to do so.

I've been educated: Yes dear. I'm sorry dear. You're right dear.
