Help! Just discovered my male peking is not well!

Poor little guy!!! What kind of food are you feeding him, does it have enough niacin in it?? Pekings generally need a higher niacin content. Check out @Isaac 0 niacin thread

This is what he eats - his sisters are just fine. They say out on the pond all day. Could it be he just ate something bad?

Prob not niacin if your feeding mazuri then,, I'm pretty new to ducks myself, so I dont really have much knowledge, just know some basics, but he could just be tired, if he stays on the pond all day, but someone with more knowledge will most likely know right away whats going on!!!!

Thank you. I don't think it's being tired bc he doesn't seem to be able to stand up much at all. And he doesn't usually stay on the pond that long and especially not with his sisters. It seems like his behavior is because he's ill.

Also, his bottom seems unusually soiled. Diarrhea?

A cpl things I learned this week tho, pekings need more niacin than other breeds, and a niacin deficiency does not always hurt the whole flock, it has to do with the individual birds needs, so it can be just one bird that is deficient!!

It's getting near bedtime now and I don't think he should be with the other ducks. I'll bring him in but any suggestions of how to prepare a space for him inside?

Is he going to die? Poor guy.

Do you have an old dog crate or playpen or something along those lines???
