Just saw this, baby is in a seperste copp with mom and siblings the same age.

What do I do? I have vetericy plus, do I wash the wound and then spray? What would cause this? It's under her wing.

looks like mom or someone pecked it, or it hit something sharp
i don't know what the spray is but i would dab the wound with a warm damp paper towel and then spray with the spray or a disinfectant

Thank you, this is my first injury like this. Is it bad, do they recover from this? Do I seperate her from mom?

it looks bad/ but i have seen worse with a full recovery, but it should heal
most of the time when i have had stuff like this happen it heals
yes, i would separate and if she seems lonely give her a friend and make sure the buddy isn't pecking her

Okay I'm running to the store to buy blu-kote now.

Keep her separated and the wound clean. Make sure she’s eating and drinking. Chickens heal very well and very quickly in general but it’s a bit iffy with a young chick since they are more delicate.

Will definitely do, I feel so bad taking her from her momma though.
