I have a flock of 4 roosters. they recently figured out if they come up to the back dog door and push hard enough they can come inside 🤦🏻‍♀️

I don't mind too much as my roosters are really just pets and have never developed any aggression towards me, or each other. some nights they sleep in the coop, other nights they stay in the house late enough that they don't feel like making the treacherous 15 feet journey back to the coop.

Just a few minutes ago I got up to grab a glass of water and all 4 roosters were asleep on the top of my sofa, I went over to give them a few pats and they woke up for a moment, but it was long enough for me to notice something was off. I couldn't see super well but there was gunk on one of their noses and 2 of them were breathing heavily. I'm guessing respiratory but I don't know how to treat it.

It sounds like they may have a contagious chronic respiratory disease. Is there a bad odor from the face? Any swelling of an eyelid or bubbles noted in one eye? If there is no bad odor, it may be an MG infection which can be treated with Tylosin or Denagard in the water for 5 days. If he stinks, it might be coryza, and that may be treated with sulfadimethoxine or other sulfa antibiotics.

thanku!! I was able to get a last minute vet appointment for today and I got antibiotics for the 2 that are sick. Vet said I shouldn't give it to the other's unless they are acting sick
