Help--leg weakness developing in young flock--??

Thanks, everyone! I was able to get the fresh food first thing yesterday morning, and of course tossed the old. I haven't had any new losses, but no major improvement yet either. We'll see what happens. I really appreciate the ideas and support.

Thank you! We had to euthanize one last night, poor little thing. It was so pathetic, looking up at us and the closing its little eyes. So sad. It was one that was already looking pretty weak. I keep hoping every time I look in there that the weak ones will have recovered, but they look about the same. The good news is that none of the others appear to be getting weaker, so maybe we've at least put an end to it even if we can't fix the damage already done.

I appreciate all the thoughts and support here--

The ones I had that did survive eventually did recover from the weakness, though it took them a good week or two. They were kind of walking on their 'elbows', never did stand upright until at least a week after it started. Come to think of it, I did have a baby turkey at the same time that did the same thing and she's fine now too. Just give them time

Thanks, that's good to know. We'll give them plenty of time. The one we had to euthanize was obviously suffering. It had stopped trying to do anything but just lie on the ground occasionally opening its eyes and getting trampled by the others. It was breathing hard and had its little head tucked upside down in front of it. I think it was grateful for the mercy.

The others seem more or less fine other than the weakness, so we'll give them as long as it takes. Thanks for the encouragement!
