So long story long.
We just got the sick chick (syrup) last night after our cat got three of our other chicks and we needed another chick to be with the lone survivor of the cat attack.
So this morning after I saw the bloody stool I texted the person we got her from to let her know so she could check her birds. (I am in NO way upset with the person we got her from. She would NEVER give us a sick chick on purpose but I wanted to let her know so she could treat her flock if needed). She immediately went and checked her chicks (which she does every day) but she looked really close this time. She found ONE other fresh bloody stool. So we assumed that her babies have coccidosis (including the one we took) and fortunately we caught it very early. She offered to give me Corid, clean my whole brooder box, replace bedding, ect because she felt so bad (again, I am not upset with her in anyway. This was a simple unfortunate circumstance). However we just agreed she would come and take the sick chick back, nurse it to health (since she will have to treat all the others anyways) and return it to us. But after talking for awhile I just asked her to take both remaining chicks because I am so exhausted/sad over all of these chick events within the last week. She took both of them and will take great care of them. We will be done with babies until next spring.
Sorry for the long update. It’s been such a long, exhausting day.
Again thank you all of all of the help. I appreciate you all more than you know
