Help! Lethargic chick with some diarrhea.

I just had a 19 week old pullot die. It was fine yesturday. This morning when I let them out this one just sat there. I noticed under the roost there was a wet spot. Real wet, not like the normal poop. She jumped out the coop and walked to the door of the pen and sat there. About 5 minutes later she rolled over on her side. I picked her up and she died in my hands.

Oh, how horrible. :-(. I'm so sorry for your loss. :-(. I started my other chickens on a 5 day dose of corid, and have been watching them very carefully for puffing of feathers or sleepiness. I hope the rest if your girls stay healthy too!!

How are your other birds now that you have used Corid?
Coccidia overload is horrible to go through. And it's not at all easy to find Corid immediately. I'm sorry you had to lose your one chicken and I hope the other ones are ok.
I wanted to add too that it is fantastic that you tried emergency care for your chicken that didn't make it. At least you tried.

Thank you. :). We treat our animals like our family. We were new to owning chickens when this had happened. She was such a young bird, I just really didn't know what else to do!!! Thanks for your kind words. The others are doing great. :). My oldest is getting quite large, and the others are doing great too. I mainly did the corid as a preventative. The vet explained to me that the corid pretty much stops animation in the parasites. :). I did make sure to get them some vitamin/mineral enriched grit for after, and my little light brahma who was struggling to feather out really benefited from that.
