Hello,

I need help please.

4 days ago I brought home a diseased young chick home without knowing. My guess is she has MG. Runny nose and infection in the eye.

The breeder said all her chickebs have it and that it's ''just a cold'' that doesn't need medication. I don't think she is right...

One of my Ameraucana got really lethargic today. Barely eating, moving slowly. She usually run when we touch her but now she's not reacting. I'll upload some videos for you to see.

What medication should I gave her? I want her to survive. Culling is out of option.

Please help :(

Sheesh, lethargy is always a bad sign as it could be many things. If I was really serious about a bird I'd take it to the vet and have them administer antibiotics, or whatever they recommend. Otherwise I'd cull the bird you got from the "breeder", isolate your sick bird(s) and get them some antibiotics in there water. There are natural alternatives too like garlic, apple cider vinegar, etc..., you can read about that all day long on this website and others, but since you are serious take the bird to the vet IMO. Good luck.

A video or photos would be good.

How old was the chick that had the respiratory illness?
Does the mucous/discharge have a foul odor?

The Ameraucana, how old is she - does she have any coughing, wheezing, runny nose, bubbly eyes? How old is she.
Is she being kept outside, for how long?
What does her poop look like?

It's hard to know what's going on...you have 2 birds(?) One has a possible respiratory disease. The other - you don't mention respiratory symptoms - could be something else.

Did you end up keeping the sick chick as well or take her back to the breeder?https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/coryza-do-i-have-to-kill-my-whole-flock.1182837/

Rosath, don't wait around cuz if she's not moving and just stands in one spot blinking then its late in the game. Isolate, Isolate, Isolate and get an antibiotic in her via water or fluids. Just don't wait for her to get over this cold...drop that breeder like a bad habit too - at least his advice.

Electrolytes and isolate her.what age?

She's 3 months old. Electrolytes? Would it work?

There's no farm vets around where I live but I'll try to contact people to see if I couls find one. If I want to give her antibiotics I'm forced to find one and a prescription uh? Or do you have any recommendations? I'll give her some garlic until then.

The new chick doesn't have a foul odor from her beak. She's about 2 months old. She acts like a normal chicken... it's just that her nose is runny and her eye infected.

I still have her. I'll separate her from the flock and I'll separate the Ameraucana as well.

I have 7 birds.

Yes the breeder is getting ridiculous. She still moves but not for long. What kind of antibiotics would you give her?

Great video and beautiful bird, which is a long way from being culled so no worries there. Since you believe she is sick and your coop is small definitely isolate her. Once she is isolated get her her own water and food. I would look for a natural remedy first. Only you can see whats really wrong with her so keep doing research online and find the natural or medicinal solution. Personally I'd load her up with garlic and apple cider vinegar water, or a bunch of other nutrients. She's still in the game so that's really good. Do isolate her though.
