HELP! LICE!

I put DE and Sevin dust on the floor when I change bedding. Thats about it. Now I use Eprinex on them. The vet told me you can use 1cc for large hens, 1/2 for small ones, like bantys. Just put it on thier neck like dog flea treatments. No egg withdrawl time.

Thanks for all the help guys! We don't really remember how old she is, we've had her for a while. She is a house chicken due to her being crippled, and another chicken has been with her during her being infested with lice and she doesn't have one speck of it. And button stopped eating and I'm sure it was due to the lice. She shut her eyes and they seemed to seal shut because there was eggs all around them.

Their is also spots on her back where she is missing feathers, she also rubbed all the feathers off the side of her head. I've given her bathes, with flea and tick wash and boy was it gross what came off of her!

How often do you reapply? My polish seem prone to lice, and I haven't had much luck with DE and dusting...

The poor thing :hugs
I would put a little coconut oil or even triple antibiotic ointment on the face, around the eyes and on that ear. Those white spots look like nits (lice eggs), from what I understand oil/ointment may help loosen those so they will come off.

If she is struggling health wise, I would direct dose her with poultry vitamins for a few days - Poultry Cell would be a good choice since it contains most of the Bvitamins.
Encourage her to eat/drink - egg might be appetizing.

Me and my mother actually "shaved" all the feathers off her head to be able to get to her eyes easier to do treatment. My mother went out and bout some spray, so I was thankful for that. We've been giving her egg everyday and it seems to be doing good!
