Help!!! Limping Quail

Last night I had someone band our quail, and when I fed them one was limping, and the band was too tight!! It cut into the leg, but it did not bleed. PLEASE HELP! THIS IS MY PET!!! WHAT SHOULD I DO???

i did, but he is just laying down, and not doing anything. How should I heal the cut?

Neosporin should do the trick...not sure if you should put some vet wrap on it or not, it is not bleeding right?

Little baby is probably in shock and a little stressed out...should perk back up soon and be okay!

Hopefully someone with more injury experience will sound off soon!

Do quail molt? I was wondering, because there are a bunch of feathers in the pen.

Well, I don't know a lot about quail

but I am pretty sure they molt....just like chickens i bet....

if you use neosporin make sure there's no pain ingredient in it...quail toxic ...
there's a post on here somewhere about Quail first aid items to have on hand ...might want to check it out...

Yeah somebody made one a while back. You should look at that. It's really helpful when caring for hurt birds. would put some paroxide on his leg.
