Two days ago we received a shipment of 3 silver laced Wyandotte chicks from Meyer hatchery. We immediately started them on vitamin water with electrolytes and medicated chick starter all from Meyer. All 3 ate a bit and drank even more, one is a bit smaller and was a little less active then the other two but still moving around eating and drinking. Today when we got home they were all moving around and exploring but the little one a bit less, during the day my daughter said they were all eating chick crumbles and drinking vitamin water. I just went to check on them to make sure the heat was good in the tub brooder and it is 90 but the little one seems very listless she just lays there unless you pick her up and even then only moves a little, and when set down just lays in the bedding.
We are worried about this little lady anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

I ordered from Meyer hatchery end if may. I have 2 chicks that are the same way. I lost one and the other is growing normal, eating and drinking fine. Just very slow and weak. But he walks with his head very low. I have called the hatchery and put forums on here. Not much help. I hope you get some answers soon. Mine were golden laced wyandottes. My mother (the chicken queen) thinks it may just be a genetic defect. :(

Well Morgan thanks for the post but our little chick died in the night, we tried everything that we could. We gave her vitamin water with sugar in it and moistened medicated chick starter with an eye dropper. We even isolated her as the other two were pecking at her. you were right about one thing this site was not of much help. If you want to look at other people's pictures of their chickens and coops this is the place to come but obviously if its an emergency forget it you have to search it out on the net.
