help! Lockdown problem, my dates may be off?

I recieved 7 mallard duck eggs in the mail on oct. 2, and I was goi g to put them in lockdown this sunday, on the 26th. Am I waiting too late? Should I put them in lockdown sooner? Thanks

You received them on the 2nd, but when did you put them in the incubator?

Right after I got them. They came in the afternoon I think.

So you didn't "rest" the eggs for a day or more after receiving them to allow them to resettle after the shipping?

No, I didnt. They are still growing though, I just did my 2 week candling about a week ago, im doing my 3 week candling today

For duck eggs I understand lockdown is generally done at day 25 - so if you set the eggs on Oct 2nd the 26th would be early, not late.

If you set on the 2nd, the 3rd would have been day 1 and they would be due to hatch on the 31st!! So you probably want to lock down around the 28th!
