HELP! Lone Goose On Pond

Need any advice.
I know, or think I know, that one goose is not a good thing.
We have a pond, and the geese are known to fly in and leave periodically. There is no pattern or schedule that we are aware of.
I currently have 11 ducks on the pond that were hatched in July.
The goose has been here about a week. Will not come anywhere near us and is very skittish. Although he/she will hang out close to the ducks, but not WITH them. When I feed the ducks, (they are a sort of mini gang) it does not come to eat.
Any advice as to how to best help this goose? Should I try to feed it? I am afraid it cant fly as opposed to chose not to.
Question are you around the Pittsburgh area? I had took the goose I raised up to a women who had other Canadian geese in her sanctuary and she was capable of flying and very Healthy she was just human bonded and therefore wasn't ready be wildly released. I had no choice since DNR had also caught on about her. I very much treated it like my own child and was just as attached to her as she was me. So it broke my heart when I learned around the end of August that she had took off and she hadn't been able to find her since. She would have been around the North Park area.
