HELP! Losing feathers! What's goin' on?

Do all of the areas at the edge of the feather loss on all of the chickens have the same dark coloration? It looks like dried blood, and I am wondering if this is a mite problem.

just checked on her and she is snuggled down in the straw, it's about 10 inches or more deep. it's like a big blanket surrounding her body and somewhat covering her, she was sleeping and got startled when I opened the hatch to check on her. I shut her pop door about half way to cut down draft. it's 16 degrees right now. I will check on her again in the early AM.

no, just her. she was being attacked pretty good this morning, I assume her "hiding" yesterday was caused by the others pecking at her. I believe it IS dried blood. they were attacking her head pretty badly this morning. I strip and re-shave my coop at least once a month. Thankfully I have never had bug or mite issues.
