I am going before the Keizer, OR city council for a second time here soon. Is there anyone in the forum from Keizer?? I need to show that I am not the only one in Keizer who wants to have chickens.
Thanks, Scott

UPDATE. Chickens are now legal in Keizer, OR. The city council approved them on August 15, 2011. It will be 30 days before it takes effect. A permit will be required and there are a few restrictions.

GREAT JOB!!!!!

We live out towards Aumsville in the country. I don't believe the town of Aumsville will allow chickens! Meth labs yes, chickens no!

Congratulations! I have to say I am super envious at how speedily it seems your city managed to get it passed. My town is in a much more rural neighborhood just south of Ashland, and we have been going to city council and planning meetings since APRIL! The deciding vote will be in September, and if it passes, there will have to be a public hearing before it will go through. Silly me for thinking this would be an easy proposition.

Hey, I'm out in Keizer OR. Got my permit approved recently and got my 3 chicks. Thanks a lot for pushing for this change! I had no idea that it was so recently.
