Help me choose a Coop!!

I'm building mine, leary of the pre-fab. single, work full time, lots of overtime, house and yard to maintain, but the house will wait as I build a coop and run. I have weekends off-so all good. No experience building and a 67yo gramma. designed my own (a first) and doing most the work myself--will hit the grandkid up for help on the roof. Starting tomorrow as I have some of the needed supplies.

For $1000 you could get a 7 by 7 Rubbermaid coop from Lowes (499 on sale)or somewhere similar & modify it by putting in windows, ventilation, roosts & nest boxes. Plastic would be easy to clean. Or look on craigslist for a used shed. I love Mace Gill's coop, but most like that around here start at $1500 & are smaller. Hope this helps.
