    Hey everyone,
I'm getting rid of my Serama and Splash Silkie roosters. That leaves me with layers, Partridge Silkies (in the same coop) and broilers. And an incubator, and an empty 6' x 15" coop. Once the broilers are gone ( [IMG] sick of them!!!) I'd like to (with parental permission [IMG] ) attempt a new poultry project. Anyone have any ideas?
I'm thinking I'd like to raise some Jumbo Coturnix quail for meat, just to see how I like them. IF I can find some hatching eggs locally. Or maybe a new bantam breed...... I would like to eventually get some ducks or geese (I have a Metzer's gc!), but I don't want to have to build them a new coop, and I want them to serve a useful purpose, eggs or meat.

    Anyone have any ideas?

Can you free-range your project? I've always wanted runner ducks. I hear they're very entertaining!

Yes, but I don't have an extra coop for them.

Try Silkies or a heritage breed. They're fun.[IMG]
