Help me choose a Roo!

Hello, I have a friend that ended up with 5 Roos. She cannot keep them all. I told her I will take one to help her out … I have 13 hens and no Roos at this time. I’m torn between the White Plymouth Rock Roo or the Buff Orpington Roo. Does anyone have an opinion of either breed?

I have heard that buff Orpington are a gentler breed for Roos but it all depends on the rooster itself and the personality of the parents it came from.

I wouldn’t go off of breed unless you have a specific breeding plan or project in mind. I would choose whichever one treats both hens and humans with respect. If both fit that criteria pick the one that you find easiest on the eye or would like those colors in your flock.
