help me control the smell

When I googled this topic, it looked like smell wasn't a problem for other people with indoor pigeons, but they are cleaning daily. They said it was only a problem if you didn't clean often enough.

I think there are bacterial changes in pet waste over a couple of days, that does bad thing to the amount and type of smell that comes from things like litter boxes and cages. Sometimes even doing these things a day earlier might help.

I clean my parrot cage daily, but I'm using paper. Is cleaning daily or every couple of days a problem because of the expense of the litter or the work involved? You might be able to change their enclosure in some way, to make it cheaper or easier to clean. Or, as you said, they might have to move outside. Every situation is different.
