Help me decide - is this Partridge Cochin a pullet or a cockeral?

Did my first online order this year. Three Partridge Cochins from Meyer Hatchery hoping for mamas to replace my sweet Dee who raised my chicks each spring. Unfortunately one chick died upon arrival but Meyer sent me a replacement when I ordered two other black copper maran chicks. I am not having good luck with the sexing. One of the marans is definately male and after reading a thread on this site from 2016 I am starting to suspect my youngest Cochin is not a girl either 😞

My other two are much more patterned and I started getting worried when a 2016 By chicken post said the darker might be male. I would be so happy to be wrong! Here's a pic of my other two - so different.

girls. I am not familiar with cochins but partridge males should be black with red hackles, shoulder and saddle feathers.

At 15.5 weeks, I would agree with other posters that the bird in question is a pullet.. Low quality for show or breeding with regards to the difference in feather pattern. A statement for reference purposes and not intended as a judgement.

In addition to the color difference.. a cockerel would be sproting much larger and redder comb and wattles at the stated age. Hers are still on par with her sisters.

Thank you. No offense taken - what you are saying makes a lot of sense. I am not planning on breeding just hoping she and her sisters will brood chicks 😊
