Wow those girls are beautiful and I'll be they are big eggs and they probably lay often and Ill be the roos are huge.

Does anybody know if you can make a sexlink using a buff orpington rooster over cuckoo turken hens? Would love to hear anyone's opinion. I like buffs but I love naked necks.

Yes, so far I'm really happy with them! They're beautiful, excellent layers of good size eggs, matured quickly (got my first egg at 19 weeks!), hardy, and their brothers were very large for a dual purpose. I'm holding my breath to see if I'll have a mess of broodies next spring! I'm hoping only about a third or so will go broody...

Here's a link to a couple more pics of them if you're interested

Wow, I didn't know that Turkens came in cuckoo. I think it would depend on whether the hen is pure for the barring gene or not. You could start another thread about it, or pm RAREROO or Tadkerson, they'd probably know.

Cowgirl71 -- your BOxBR sex-link pullets are the prettiest little girls I've seen in a long time. Are they friendly? My BR seems to have very little personality. I don't dislike her -- but she doesn't bring much to the table.
