Help me decide today's supper menu

We sort of are.

But where would I fit in? I know, I know! I'm over sitting at the "little kids'" table.

How little are you?

Still not completely decided. Chicken is cooked and cooling for deboning. Beans are simmering in the stock. I think I am headed toward chicken salad and a bean soup.

Well, Miss Prissy, after a little whispering, Katy and I have concluded that we are the 2 little old biddies at the table! And you know how us little old biddies can eat!

It's easy to make a big pot of soup and salads stretch nicely too. This is an awfully large family though, how's your seating situation? Is the weather nice enough we could make it a picnic?

MP how do you do all you do with a toddler at home? I'm bout like you with all the chores I have and I feel like my 3 year old never sees me, except doing some sort of work.

Let the 3 yr old help. They can do more than you think they can. They can fetch and pickup and get out things you need. Also - DVD player is my friend when I need some time to do something he can't help me with. My 3 yr old can also help with laundry. I have front loaders. He takes the things out of the dryer and puts the things from the washer into the dryer for me. That can keep little hands very busy while you do something else.

Kitty - its is cold!!! We'll have to spread out. Some will have to eat in the kitchen by the fire on the sofa, some at the table and some in the living room by the other fire. If that ain't enough we'll have to rotate and eat in shifts. LOL

we abide by this rule in our home:

if you can reach it, you can help with it. (excluding knives and fire of course.)

little hands can accomplish much. it may not be done as well as an adult, but it gets done.
