Do they play at night? Cats are so rambunctious as it is. Unless he's just a foodie at heart.

I'm hoping pullet, too. Soooo adorable I just love the puffy cheeks.

They do play in the evenings. They also hunt at night. (Sometimes they leave a few body parts for the chickens )

It's probably a compromise of some sort. Poor Franco is always getting chased away from his food bowl by one hen, or another. When foods involved, they are very brave.
Fluer especially loves his cat food, and she is a big gal.

I have a stubborn broody hen but no room for more chickens. Tempting though because she's so dang persistent smh.

Could you get her a few pullets from tractor supply, and then rehome them when they are older? I've done that a few times.

I know this feeling... I just wish I could get the hens to sit on duck eggs.

I'm pretty sure mine would try. I've had better hatching rates with these nests, because the bottoms are slightly curved.
