Help me figure out the breeds of these ROOS...

La Fleche's don't have crests though. They have a V comb, but not a crest. But I'm not sure if spitzhaubens come in that color. I've only seen the Silver Spangled ones.

My husband claims he "washed him down" yesterday with the hose and our dog's flea and tick shampoo... He's not usually so shaggy looking. LOL

The second one really looks like a sex-link to me.

Do you know where your feed store gets it's chicks from? If so it makes it easier to figure out what he is. I believe that he is a Polish or a Polish mix.

After looking at my Poultry Breed book...I'm going to say the first one is a Golden Spangled Appenzeller-"Male-head is solid golden red. Hackle and saddle are golden red with a narrow greenish black stripe extending down the middle to a point at feathers' tips. Front of neck, breast, back, body, wings, and legs are spangled with black or greenish black." That is my guess. I'm not sure about the second one. But he definitely has a mix of some kind.
