Help me figure this out

On a budget the best thing to do is secure the coop every evening.
I have one secure run and an open run during the day. I still close the coop every evening.

Try J clips or hog rings. They both require a special pair of pliers but are super cheap you can pick up a couple 100 along with the pliers for under 15 bucks at your local TSC, atwoods or orschelins. Whichever major farm store you happen to have near you!

Zip ties will work on your stationary structure but should you ever make a tractor please avoid them they break to easily with the constant movement
