Call your favorite nonprofit and ask if there is something you can do at home for them.
I started sewing and repurposing my feed bags. Great for gifts, low start up and way more interesting than one would think. I progressed into sourcing bags, sewing and selling for a nonprofit.

I really like the knitting idea while listing to a podcast or Kindle e-read.
