yes around that age, i asked my neighbor for a 3-4 month rooster. so its a rooster?

That's a cockerel. I've never heard of an Amrock before. Where did you get him?

amrocks are the european version of barred rocks. i got this one from my neighbor i asked if he had a young rooster and he sold me this one

Good to know. He's definitely a boy. Cockerels will go into the nesting areas to woo the girls and make sure the space is safe for the hens to lay.
