Donnelsville,oh
I have had three different attacks, each time several chickens were dead, a couple injured and only one eaten. The one that is eaten is always the same. Leggs and insides are gone, and head is gone. Most of the breast and the wings are left. I can't always get my coop shut befor it gets dark because of job schedule.

I have set a live trap in the small door way several night for the last two weeks and nothing gets in it, but last night I didn't make it in till about 11pm and found 4 of my small pullets dead. None of my adult birds have been attacked yet. Only half grown and smaller birds.

I have some trapping experiance with leghold traps for harvesting fur and figured I had a coon issue but I figured I would have caught by now if it were.

I have only had chickens for about a year now and it is my first predator issue. I hope some seasoned poultry keeper can help me Identify the pest so I can better target it with trapping.
