Help me keep my hatchlings alive (I've failed at this part in the past)

They sometimes can fall in and get stuck but not die in the water made for chicks an if you want keep up with the lids they work good to. I had over 30 chicks and had two die of water but the rest died in there shells they couldn't get out in time but not to bad for haveing 42 eggs and only 5died
