I would pull up the stones on the floor of the run. That way your chickens can scratch around in the dirt.

Maybe evlavate the "House" up about two feet to give them more room in the run? Also, it would provide them with some shade during the day.

Others one here have used their old dog runs for thier coops hopefully someone who has done that can help with how they line the cyclone to keep the chickens in. Especially by the doorway.

That s nice you have a top on it too!!

Edited to add: you will have to build nesting boxes maybe you can attach them to the outside of the dog house so that you do not lose floor space in the house. How about somehow getting it so that you can collect the eggs without even going into the pen?

That's just SCREAMING for a coop/run conversion.

Yup, pull up the pavers and maybe raise the coop and move it to the door or to a wall where you can cut a hole to access eggs in a nest box without having to go into the run each time.

can u put the dog house outside the fencing, so that the opening from the house is leading into the fenced area??? I think that would give them a large area for the run....just an idea....

This is an easy conversion. As stated pull up the pavers they have to go. If you intend to use the dog house, then move it outside the run, Cut a hole in the cyclone with entry facing pen onviously. I would remove the roof and hinge it where both halves lift and fold up for easy cleaning and egg gathering. If you use this your number of chickens has to stay very limited. If you want more birds a larger coop will be necessary. Best case scenario is to build nests and attach on the outside. This will get cramped.

I see you have the pen lined already with x-pens which is all you need there. Great thing to have on hand are you an ex show dog person by any chance. Speaking of what happen to the dog?
Hope he or she moved indoors.

I would deffently move the coop outside the fencing if you can. We sure dog kennels for all our 6ft high runs and having the coop attached helps alot with space. If you can you may want to consider building a small coop instead of the dog house to attach to the run. This also we have foudn makes it work better. I like being able to walk in our runs and coops, some people don't, some poeple do. I just find it easier for cleaning ect, when you have broody hens ect.

When I first read the title, I thought, "why do you WANT your dog to run into the coop?......"
