Help me out - gender of chicks - dominiques - PIC heavy

My chicks are 1 week old - please help me tell the gender of them - there are 5 dominiques

chick # 1

chick # 2

chick # 3

chick # 4

chick # 5

I heard you could sex them by the dot on the head and leg color early on. Is that not true?

ok, I had 3 chicks that had dots on their heads, but two of them had mostly black feet and one mostly yellow. The two with the black legs turned out to be hens and the one with yellow was a roo.
The best way to tell is when their feathers grow in the male is light and the females feather in darker.

My doms ( 5 ) of them....they all looked the same till about a month old...then I began to see that one of them was definately different' then the rest....turned out he was a roo! So your chicks are way too young to venture a guess at this age....
But, hang in there....when we heard our one different Dom crow...we then got our answer!

Out of the 5 I only see one possible pullet which is chick #4 the rest look like roo's. Dom's can be sexed early by spot on head and black on the frount of the legs.
