I have my first flock, 2 BO, 2 black silkies and 2 cochins. They are 22 weeks old. When will I start seeing some eggs?

Assumeing you have pullets, it could be any day now, if thier combs get pinker(brighter) and they start investigating the nest boxes you should see them soon afterwards.

It should be very soon, just make sure that they are getting enough protin in thier laying mesh, if they are free ranging all the time they might get shy of thier feed and eat more grass witch will results of not enough protin, or they might be laying thier eggs outside the coop.
Good Luck.

We just started seeing the first EE's eggs this past week! She is part of a group that are 17 weeks and our other girls are 20 weeks...

It will be soooo exciting to find your first! You'll see, it won't be too long!

Oh boy, will they show any signs they are getting ready? They are not free range, too many critters around here. I have shavings on the coop floor, should I put that in the nesting box as well or use hay?
