I hear tapping in it and yes it has internally pipped but it won’t pip anymore.She was asking about internal pips into the air cell, I think. You can tell if it has pipped internally by carefully candling the egg. Candling will also allow you to see movement. I don't know a lot about duck eggs but I don't think they are much different than chickens other than the longer incubation period. If it were me, I would candle to check for internal pip and movement. If I saw either one (or both), I would put the egg back in the incubator and give the baby more time. If it has been 12 hrs since the last pip and there's no movement inside, then I would CAREFULLY put a little peephole in the air cell end so I could see if there's movement or shrink wrapped. I've lost a chick due to shrink wrap so I understand the concern but most of the time they are just resting or pipping internally.
