Hello, yesterday morning I woke up to find the smallest of my three chickens (week old) with its wings spread out not looking ver healthy, i further investigated to find its left eye all crusty and pusy and unable to blink, l live 200 km away from the closets vet. Today I noticed the right eye looking very similar to the left eye. I've hand fed and watered the chick as I think it's blind now, it really doesn't look healthy and I feel like a failure I'm open to any advice and a diagnosis and more important a treatment. I am also worried it may spread to my other two babies. Thanks very much and I'm hoping it's not to late. I will upload a photo when possible thanks, Nick

I'm not the one to make suggestions on causes or treatments, but I would think separating the Lil guy from the others, and cleaning the brooder, feeder, water would be a good idea, as well as keeping hands clean and practicing biosecurity. Could be contagious.

Maybe try Neosporin Eye Ointment at the feed store
Hi, are they getting appropriate amounts of heat from the heat lamp?

I found a thread that might be helpful: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/chicks-with-swollen-crusted-shut-eyes.705173/

If you google "chick with crusty eyes" then there are also a lot more potentially useful threads that will come up
The other two chicks seem fine so I would assume they have the right amount of heat, thanks for your help I really do appreciate it
