Ok the other chick that I thought was my surprise chick was not lol. I had been thinking this was a Whiting True Blue but studying them today I see this one is shaped different and looks different. What do y'all think? Google Lens is saying Bielefeleder or Maran

Not a Marans or Biel.

Hmmm...I’m not sure. It’s almost like she’s a brown barred rock but I don’t think those exist. She looks more like a bielefelder than a marans but not exactly. She’s very pretty though

Depending on where it's from, I would say some type of broiler cockerel. Maybe a Dixie Rainbow

Which hatchery did you get it from? May help in narrowing down the breed possibilities.

Depending on where it's from, I would say some type of broiler cockerel. Maybe a Dixie Rainbow

So you think boy too? If it is the breed your suggesting, can I keep him long term?

He's definitely a cockerel! Since he's from McMurray, Bielefelder seems the most likely!

I agree with @Rhodebar Lover. It seems to be the only possibility from McMurray. They don’t have any broilers with this kind of coloring and they don’t have golden cuckoo Marans, which was the other breed I was thinking as a possibility.
