Well, today I was reading one of my favorite magazines. I haven't read it in a year. I was looking at the contest they always do. They said their next contest was for a "pet look-alike." My hair is black, so I thought...."if only I had a black chicken...."
"Yea, if we kept Blackie..." my mom said. Blackie was my science project but thanks to my then-lack of knowledge, some eager buyers, and a stupid hawk, she's no longer here.
That's when I decided......Let's get a black chicken! That'd only be three, anyway, not like twenty....
I have a White Cochin, so I figured a black Cochin would work. I'd get an egg if I could, but no one's going to offer me one egg and if probably wouldn't hatch,and if it did it'd be a rooster, which is the last thing I need since Henryetta was almost a Henry, so I was thinking of buying it as a chick.I'd have to build a real chicken house instead of the plastic bin, but I'd probably pick some plywood up and ask my dad to throw something together. I haven't told either of my parents about it, thank goodness.

Please! I'm counting on you! Talk me out of it! I'm tempted to look at the Chicks for Sale ads! STOP ME!!! I NEED YOU!!!!!!

Okay, I'm going to feed the chickens....or will that just backfire?

Sweetie, if you havent built a bigger space for the 2 that you have living in the plastic bin then you KNOW you dont need another chicken.

Maybe you should dye your hair to match one of your current chickens. Much less committment.

Oh but I would need someone to vent sex it, so I can be sure I'm getting a pullet.
Surely someone has some eggs so someone else could hatch them and just give one to me when they hatch?
