HELP ME PLZ

Pics
I would have thought it should have had some access to grit since it ate food different than just the chick starter? I never give mine anything but regular duckling starter and water or that reason. I pray that the little one gets better. Pekin ducks are prone sometimes to have leg problems so they need niacin for sure. They are so heavy and their legs have trouble supporting them.
Sorry I did not see the post earlier about grit until after I had posted.

I guess I’ll watch his progress.
You can get the liquid B complex at TSC it is the best to get their legs strong and over the niacin deficiency, You can put it over a small amount of feed or a little treat so you can be sure it's getting the full dose. Don't give up on him, we see many ducklings with niacin deficiency and most recover once started on the B complex. The thing is treating it fast, if you put it off it will take longer and niacin deficiency can kill them if not treated . As long as you have chick grit out for them a little bit of treat would be fine to get him to take his complex. Once he is doing better nice warm bathes are another way to build strong legs just start out with the warm water just up to tops of their legs then once they have gotten used to that make it deeper you will enjoy so much watching them play swim and dive, once done you just pat them dry and put them back under heat. [always supervise ducklings when in water]They will begin preening and soon they will be spreading their oils over their feathers to make themselves waterproof.

Thank you! :( will update uou
