Help me sex my bird! Want to avoid getting in trouble with city.

Thanks for the unanimous opinion everyone! This forum is the best. I just used the image tags to urls of the images on flickr, in response to that particular question.

I know I'm going to be sad to part with him. The other one was a gorgeous cuckoo marans roo. They were my two favorites and I was in total denial about them being boys. Some day I'll live in the country and I can have all the roosters I want.

BTW the breeder was the one who told me that it was a silver-laced Wyandotte. My knowledge in this area is about nil, so I was just going by what he said.

Wyandottes, like a lot of slow-maturing dual purpose breeds, rarely crow (or lay eggs) before five months. The saddle and hackle feathering, broken pattern lacing on the back, bright red very well developped rose comb and wattles all scream cockerel.

Not a great rose comb, but doesn't look more like pea than rose to me. The camera angle definitely leaves it in dispute.
