Help me understand this egg?! :)

I thought it was just a soft shell at first, but it looks to be a perfectly normal egg, surrounded by extra yolk and membrane? Like it was on its way to becoming double shelled?

Wow! When u cracked the egg was it intact? Hmmmm. A new layer? Maybe just a fluke!

I didn't crack it yet, I wanted to show the kids first (we're excitedly waiting to fill our first dozen/carton ). I *think* it was laid by a broody that's just starting to lay again...

Usually if it is a squishy egg the chicken is dehydrated funny looking egg!
