Help me, wierd air bubble on my chick???

I am new to chickens but I wanted to respond to you guys with my experience, though it is limited. When my first chicks were small, a couple weeks old or so. I noticed on the back of the right side of the neck on one I was holding that there was an empty air sack or that is what it looked like. Seemed to almost crackle when the chick would breathe? I could see it really well because they are silkies and did not have feathers there yet. It was just above the shoulder kind of on the back of the neck. It scared me because I thought the crop was on the front and what could this be. I just watched it for a day or two and I finally figured out that when the crop was not full of food, this air bubble looked like an air empty air bubble, but then when it would eat alot, it would fill with food. It was part of the crop but I guess because of the size of the chick, it was pushing around the side??? Not sure, but I don't understand why you would have to stick needles in it or do anything. I did nothing and mine are now 7 1/2 weeks old and perfectly fine. Who advised you to stick needles in it? Is is something different than I described? Just wondering. I would think that usually it is nothing to worry about and just a newbie, like myself, who does not know what exactly they are seeing? Hope all continues to go well.

hey sir my pet chick also have same problem plzzzzzzzzzzzzz help there is a air ballon type thing uder his right wing and when we press it slightly the air gets out but after few mins it come back plzzzz tell whats this and why ? and any cure ?
