Help if u hAve any advice for a prolapse vent! My poor girl, Yoko, just started laying when my kiddos noticed an egg hanging from her bottom (sideways!!) w something that looked like blood. Turns out it was her uterus?? OMG! I placed her in a warm water bath, and the egg, which seemed large for her 2nd egg, slipped out completely after a few minutes. She was clearly prolapsed. I tried a number of times to gently return her goods back in place, but it kept slipping out. Then it seemed to stay in place. I lathered her w Neosporin and topped w Vaseline, separated her into her coop, and placed some treats and h20 in w her. Her pupils seemed to be dialating then returning to normal. She was totally stressed out alone and kept trying to get w her flock, so I let her out until I noticed the other girls inspecting her bottom. No pecking, but definitely interest- SO I again separated her. Any other ideas on home remedies?? I read about PrepH which I'll try first thing in a.m.- I can't cull her...comfrey?? I don't have witch hazel...
